Order of Events: 7 - The Judgment of Gentiles

This is the time when all living Gentiles who have survived the 7 year tribulation period will be judged (Matthew 25:31-46). This occurs after the Battle of Armageddon and before the 1000 year millennium.

Where does it occur?

The Old Testament pictures in Joel 3:2 that God's Armageddon judgments will take place in the Valley of Jehoshaphat. The exact boundaries of this location cannot be determined. Also see Ezekiel 20:34-38, Zechariah 13:1-2, Malachi 3:2-5, and Matthew 25:31-46.

What will happen there?

The living Gentiles at this judgment who showed by their sinful lives that they had rejected the message of Christ's witnessess during the tribulation period will go to hell (Matthew 25:41). Those who showed by their righteous lives that they had accepted Christ during this period will live on earth for the millennium period, and then they will enter the new heavens and new earth.

The saved who have accepted Christ up to the point of the rapture become resurrected believers...along with the resurrected martyrs of the tribulation preiod. Those who accept Christ after the rapture in the 7 year tribulation period and who survive the tribulation alive are living believers who live on earth during the millennium and prior to receiving their eternal bodies.

Order of Events: 8 - Resurrection of Tribulation Saints

You may ask, why this additional resurrection?

I'm glad that you asked! Before the tribulation period of 7 years begins, the rapture occurs. At this point all the saints, living and dead... are caught up to be with Christ. When the tribulation period begins many people on earth will refuse to accept the Mark of Antichrist (666). They will refuse to pay homage to him. In fact they will become Christians and will unashamedly testify to others about the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. Because of their testimony, many will be beheaded. See Revelation 20:4,5. Thus, this additional resurrection occurs so that the tribulation saints can join the raptured saints.

So to summarize how many resurrections there will be, the bible speaks of two great resurrections, the FIRST and the SECOND. The one is unto life and the other is unto judgment...SO DON'T GET IT TWISTED. The FIRST resurrection has at least two (2) parts.
FIRST:(a)The resurrection of believers at the rapture (1 Thess. 4:16, 1 Cor. 15:51-53
(b) The resurrection of tribulation saints (Revelation 20:4,5)
SECOND:The resurrection of the unsaved at the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:5, 11-14)

Order of Events: 10 - The 1000 Year Millennium

This is a period when earth again is placed under the direct rule of God, and when all the believers of all the ages reign with Christ. It is not yet, however, the perfect state of the new earth and the new heavens which comes later.

Those previously resurrected at the rapture and those saints who died in the tribulation and were resurrecterd along with Old Testament saints...will reign with Christ in the millennial age as resurrected believers. This includes all of the believers who, alive at the time of the rapture, were changed "in the twinkling of an eye." The Millennium will occur after the tribulation period.

Are there two types of believers at that time?

Yes. There are RESURRECTED believers and LIVING believers. Resurrected believers, those already raised from the dead, have been previously described above. They will be given positions of responsibility in the Millennial Kingdom (Matthew 19:28, Luke 19:12-27). Living believers will be Gentiles and Jews alike who are still living at the close of Armageddon, and who are permitted to enter the Millennial Kingdom. These were not raptured (they were not believers at the time of the rapture), nor did they die in the tribulation period (they survived). They are still in their human unresurrected bodies.

Will living believers still have children?

Yes. During the Millennium these living believers will still be fully normal people who are able to reproduce children. Children born of these living believers will still be born with a sin nature. And for them, as for all humans born at any time, salvation is still required. They must individually make a decision whether to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord...or to deny Him.
